Community Menace; Saggy pants banned in Florida city, first offenders will be slapped with $ 25 fine

First time offenders will be fined $ 25 and repeat offenders would be slapped with fines up to $ 100.
The council members in the city of Cocoa voted in favor 3-1 to ban a person or persons wearing pants or skirts below the waistline exposing undergarments or the skin.
This ban would help us to “protect and preserve the unique character” of Cocoa, a “small family oriented, suburban community.” the legislators said.
The new ordinance outlaws “wearing short or long pants or a skirt more than three (3) inches below the top of the waistline (crest of ilium) exposing skin or undergarments.” The ordinance includes helpful illustrations (see above) showing what “constitute a violation of this provision.”
The ban will come into effect from January 1.
