The U.S government is running advertisements in Pakistan televisions featuring President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in wake of Anti-Islamic protests following a movie that was made in California, newspaper reports said.

According to Indian NDTV, the U.S government has spent at least $ 70,000 to run advertisements to soothe public opinion; the advertisements are to convince the public that the movie “Innocence of Muslims” was made by a private Citizen and not by the government.

The protests which sparked demonstrations and riots in 21 countries resulted in the death of four U.S diplomats in Benghazi, Libya.
