An Arab newspaper claiming to be in possession of classified documents from Syria said that Syrian president Bashar-al-Assad relocated a stockpile of chemical weapons with the help of Russia and Iran to survive the ongoing civil strife.

The Saudi based newspaper Al Arabiya reported that Syria also sought cross border cooperation with State of Israel, a country which Syria describes as a hostile entity.
Al Arabiya claimed that documents were obtained with the assistance of rebels fighting Syrian president’s regime. But the newspaper failed to explain how the documents were obtained. It claimed the documents were verified and authenticated and it has decided to publish only documents deemed as news worthy.
It did not disclose who verified or authenticated the documents.
An Iranian commander, Qasem Soleimani reported to have written a letter to Assad that chemical warheads were ready to be relocated in contrary to Iranian government’s claim that it would not support any country with plans to use chemical weapons.
The newspaper said it was not clear when or where the chemical war heads were moved
