The U.S Secretary of Defense has demoted General William “Kip” Ward to a three-star lieutenant after he was found guilty for generously spending thousands of dollars on travel without approval, the Associated Press reported.

The General has also been ordered to repay $ 82,000 that he spent without authorizations.
