Israeli government is moving men and machine to the border of Gaza in apparent preparation for all-out offensive against militants holed-up in the crowded seaside enclave as rockets fell into Tel Aviv and on its immediate surroundings, prompting the United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon to travel to Israel within the next few days to broker a deal.
The militants launched barrage of rocket attacks just 24 hours after Israeli Defense Forces conducted massive air and sea raids aimed at flushing-out the militants, who apparently taken cover in residential areas.
On Thursday night Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered more than 30,000 army reservists to military duty and according to reports soldiers were seen marching towards the border villages 20 miles North of Gaza.

“There is no apparent indication for an invasion”, but the Israeli army is preparing for “developments’, the minister was quoted. Three people were killed on Thursday when a rocket hit a residential building in Kriyat Malachi, a city located just outside of Tel Aviv.
Egypt joined the fight on Thursday when the Prime Minister Hesham Kandil ordered the border crossing between Palestine and Egypt kept open around the clock to allow wounded Hamas militants to be taken for medical treatment.
Kandil is expected to land in Gaza enclave shortly to show his country’s solidarity with Hamas militants.

The militants holed-up in Gaza claimed that they had been offered assistant from various countries in the Arab World. The United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said that Israel has the right to defend its territory.
Iran kept a tight lid on the situation except its mouth piece, the PressTv quoting unnamed sources said that Israeli President has gone into hiding following the rocket strikes.
President Barack Obama made a call to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and urged him to broker a deal to stop the skirmishes from ballooning into an all-out war. The French President Francois Hollande spoke to Israeli and Egyptian Prime Ministers on Thursday. But the details of the conversations were not known.
The French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said the violence is dangerous for the regional security.

Unconfirmed reports said that Egyptian Prime Minister condemned the aggression shown by Israeli Defense Forces and called the strikes against Hamas in Gaza enclave as “unacceptable”.
On Friday as early as 2.00 am air raid sirens went off as rockets continue to fall on the capital city. Two thirds of the rockets have been either destroyed or intercepted by the Iron Dome. According to media reports there were sense of vulnerability among the Tel Aviv residents although rockets failed to hit the intended targets.
Police and military personnel urged the civilians to take cover in shelters built by the government.
Several reports indicate that rockets fired by the militants were made in Iran and they were “Fajr” missiles.
The Fajr missiles were designed in late 1980s by Iranian government and it’s used in Syria, Libya, Hezbollah and Hamas militant groups.  The missile was manufactured with the help of Chinese government.

In 2006 Hezbollah militants fired the rockets deep into Israel territory during Israel-Lebanon conflict. The missiles have the capacity of traveling up to 130 to 140 miles at 0 to 57 degree elevation.
Apparently the missile site by Hamas is located just half a block from a mosque and a
Children’s playground.
Hamas also posted a video of its missile launching site.
