Idiot cited for driving along sidewalk

A judge in Cleveland has ordered a traffic-offender to stand near an intersection wearing “idiot “sign for driving along the sidewalk,  the WPTV-TV reported.

The station said that woman, Shena Hardin, 32, was caught on camera driving on a sidewalk while a school bus was loading and unloading children. She was cited for driving along the sidewalk at her appearance at the Cleveland Municipal Courts on Monday.
She was asked to pay $ 250 as court costs and license suspended for 30 days.
Hardin must also stand at the intersection of E. 38th Street and Payne Avenue wearing a sign next Tuesday and Wednesday that says “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.” She has been ordered to wear the sign from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. both days.

A Cleveland Metropolitan School District bus driver captured video of Hardin driving on the sidewalk to avoid stopping for the bus loading and unloading children in September.
CMSD driver Uriah Herron is credited by supervisors for his quick thinking to nab the driver, whose sidewalk detours appear to be a daily occurrence, on camera.
“We had a very conscientious driver for 30 years. He really cares about his children and he took the extra step that this doesn’t happen again,” said CMSD bus manager Eric Taylor.
The incident happened at E. 38th Street between Superior and Payne Avenue.
