Malaysian narcotic agents acting on a tip off from U.S drug enforcement officials arrested a Nigerian attempting to smuggle $ 7.1 million high-grade cocaine hidden in coconut milk cans on Tuesday.
Not Actual Can
The illegal contraband was seized when narcotics officials seized a container arrived on a cargo ship from Guyana last Monday.
The chief of the Malaysian Narcotics division said that Nigerians are using most sophisticated methods to smuggle various drugs into South Asia. The liquid drugs when processed could product an estimated 168 pounds of cocaine.
The seized container was filled with coconut cans and pineapple cubes.
The mastermind would face death penalty if found guilty.
