A Lebanese man was caught at Johannesburg international airport in South Africa on Wednesday when he attempted to board Dubai bound flight with his belly-full of Diamonds valued at $ 2.3 million.

The X-rays revealed that the man has swallowed 220 polished diamonds in an audacious bid to smuggle them out of the country.
“We nabbed him just before he went through the security check point”, a South African police spokesman told AFP.
In Sri Lanka a Chinese man was captured when he swallowed a high priced Blue Sapphire stone during a Gem and Jewelry exhibition in the capital city of Colombo. But the man got away with a measly fine.
South Africa is among the top producers of diamonds.
