The duo, Skie Floyd and Jazlyn lasr made contact with their parents just three hours after disappearing. According Benton County police officials both would have crossed the state lines to meet two up with two runaway boys, Corey Lee Mathew and Austin Michael Boggs, both from Atlantic area, the KCRG reported
“She’s shy, she’s sweet, she’s kind hearted,” said Dusty Hiepler-Floyd, Skie’s mother.
“She didn’t take her purse, she didn’t take her money, she didn’t take anything with her,” said Melinda Griffith, a family friend. Griffith, 60, ran away from home when she was 13. “If you’re running away from home you take everything you got.”
Hiepler-Floyd said her daughter likely is sticking by her friend’s side, who may know one of the boys.
“I know my daughter is scared right now, I’m sure she wants to come home,” she said. “I just want them to know they’re not in trouble.”
