The parliament demanded the expulsion of the US marine unit arrived recently to Yemen as reported, urging the government to protect embassies and secure the ambassadors and diplomats’ lives.
The parliament expressed on Saturday its rejection of any form of foreign presence in the Yemeni territories.
This came in a statement issued by the parliament in its session chaired by Speaker Yahya al-Raei, which was dedicated to address the intentional insult to Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) in the poor movie produced in the US.

It voiced its strong condemnation of such insults calling on the US to apologize officially to all Muslims, punish those who contributed to the production of the movie and to pull it from online websites.
Condemning the attacks on embassies, the parliament affirmed it support for the right to protest peacefully and away from violence.
It demanded the international organizations to issues an international law forbids the insult of prophets, religions and religious sacred places, urging the Islamic, Arab and international parliaments and governments to exert pressures on the UN to issue such law.
Early on Thursday, thousands of protesters attacked the US embassy in protest at an American-made video denigrating the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). Security reports showed that the attacks led to killing 4 citizens and wounding 38 others, including 10 soldiers.
The protesters destroyed 61 vehicles belonging to the embassy and burning 13 other cars, in addition to damaging the embassy’s gates, guard rooms along with guard equipment.
The security authorities have held 8 people aged between 18-30 years in custody in connection with the US embassy riots, the interior ministry said.
