A Libyan politician has claimed that attack on U.S consulate was preplanned and meticulously executed by non-Libyan elements.

Libyan Assembly chief Mohammed al-Megaryef has told the French news agency AFP that he does not want to talk what happened in other countries, but as for Libya, the operation was well planned and executed meticulously.
A Libyan newspaper reported that 48 hours before the assault, the U.S consulate in Benghazi was informed about the impending attack, but embassy did not take any measures to beef-up security. The newspaper Alakhbar claimed that the visit of Ambassador Chris Stevens to Benghazi branch was top secret and his movements were known only to some U.S officials.
The newspaper also claimed that sensitive information from the embassy has reportedly gone missing, apparently leading to attacks on secret refugee “safe houses”.
In Washington, U.S government announced on Saturday that it is sending intelligence officials, troops and drones to Libya in search of those involved in the attack. The United Kingdom newspaper, the Independent on Friday said the attack was major a security breach and that the US state department officials had credible information 48 hours prior to the attack.
Mean while, U.S government is reviewing telephone conversations, intercepts, emails, computer traffic internet surfing history and other documents prior to the attack. Although Libyan officials claimed that they have arrested several men involved in the attack, there is no iota of evidence to point out the men were involved in the attack in which four diplomats perished
Prior to the attacks on the mission U.S government kept a close watch on the activities in Libya and it also had a sizeable number of men from the CIA posted in the country.
According to several reports, the U.S and Libyan government suspect that attacks were carried out by a Libyan based militant group led by former Guantanamo detainee Sufyan Bin Qumu of Ansar-al-Shariah, but the group on Friday denied any involvement with the attack, but claimed that its men were in the vicinity of the demonstrations in Benghazi.
On Friday, the mainstream media in US reported that Benghazi airport was closed due to security situation. But airport was closed for US drones to land and take off and to conduct to surveillance flights.
The commercial flights at the airport were grounded to prevent attackers fleeing Libya.
On Saturday, The International Crisis group warned heavy presence of militant groups in Libya as the law and order has not been restored after the demise of Muhammad Qaddafi.
