The producer of the anti-Islam movie “Innocence of Muslims” was taken into federal custody today.
Federal officials said that 55 year old Egyptian born American
Citizen Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was taken into custody for parole
violations and he was expected to appear in the Federal courts on
Thursday.He was convicted on bank fraud charges in 2010 and served one
year in federal prisons.
He was ordered not to use any digital devices or surf the internet as part of his five years probation. He was old ordered not to enlist other’s help to access the internet.
It was not known immediately what section of the probation he violated, but according to some speculations, he sought the assistance of “some one’ to load the controversial move “Innocence of Muslims” to You Tube, the popular video sharing website.
