A
German court has refused to allow a Muslin girl to skip swimming
practices after she complained that she was “uncomfortable” being close
to bare-chested boys.
He lawyers told the court that according to Quran she is not only
forbidden from showing herself to boys but also from “seeing” topless
boys.
But the court said she could wear a full body suit to attend lessons. “The school system designed to promote integration and tolerance”, the court said citing a constitution ruling by a German court.
“She has to put up with her class mates”, the court added.
The 12 year unidentified girl is originally from Morocco and currently attending a school in Frankfurt.
