An
United States army Brigadier General has been charged with sexual
misconduct, possession of pornography and alcohol and misusing
government’s travel charge card, a newspaper reported.
The Fayetteville Observer said that the general Jeffrey A. Sinclair attached to Fort Bragg has been charged with possessing alcohol and pornography while deployed, maltreatment of subordinates, filing fraudulent claims, engaging in conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman and engaging in conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline, or of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.
The army was to hold a news conference yesterday afternoon in view of the charges.
The newspaper said that Sinclair was sent back to U.S from Afghanistan months ago while serving as deputy commander of the 82nd airborne division.
