The Los Angeles police department this week sought assistance of the public to identify some of “Grim Sleeper’s” the victims, who were murdered by Lonnie Franklin Junior between 1976-to-2010.
The LPPD on Thursday appealed through social media engines to help its investigators to put name on the faces of several women who could not be identified.
“The Grim Sleeper attacked, sexually abused and murdered numerous women between the years of 1976-and 2010. Now, the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division Needs your help to identify these other possible victims”, a statement posted on Facebook said.

The new set of pictures was among 1,000 photographs that were seized from Lonnie Frankiln’s house in July this year. Franklin has been linked to at least 250 murders. Franklin, 60, has been charged with murdering 10 prostitutes in downtown Los Angeles.
Most of his victims were shot to death at close range, while others were strangled to death. The dead bodies were dumped on the road side, garbage bins, and alleyways and nearby industrial building.
It took an estimated 14 years for police investigators to find the real killer which earned Franklin the nick name “grim sleeper”

Franklin was arrested after LAPD detectives used his son’s DNA to bring him to justice.
