A
radical Afghanistan Muslim cleric has offered a reward of $ 400,000 to
anyone killing the producer of the anti-Islamic movie, the “Innocence of
Muslims”, and the French cartoonist who drew caricatures of Prophet
Mohammed.

“I have offered $400,000 to anyone who kills the anti-Islam film producer and $100,000 for killing the French cartoonist,” Mir Faroq Husaini, a prominent cleric in the western province of Heart, the AFP reported.
The award of the reward was announced during sermon on Sunday. The cleric has said he is willing to sell all his personal belongings to collect funds.
Afghanistan is a devoutly Muslim nation and perceived insults to religion are taken seriously, often with violent consequences, the AFP said.
The anti-Islamic movie triggered widespread violence in 22 countries. Soon after the movie gained notoriety, the Satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo published cartoons caricaturing Prophet Mohammed.
