Austrian takes four minutes to jump from stratosphere clocking speed of 723mph

Austrian Felix Baumgartner landed safely at 12.19 p.m. mountain day light time on Sunday. He landed in eastern New Mexico desert 4 minutes 22 seconds: after jumping from the capsule 28,000 feet roughly four miles sometimes clocking speed of 723mph.
It was not clear whether he broke the speed of the sound record, a goal of his mission. The, 43, year old daredevil flashed a thumps-up sign sending off loud cheers from those who were watching the fall from the mission’s control room in in Rosewell, New Mexico.
More to follow from the press conference.
