Florida governor Rick Scott is caught in a porn storm.
On Tuesday he sent thousands of Florida natives to a phone sex line when he accidentally read the wrong number for the state’s health department hotline.
Those who dialed the number were greeted by a woman “hello boys, thank you for calling me on my anniversary”. The “accident” is the only bright spot in the outbreak of Meningitis disease that spreading across the nation. At least 12 people have been confirmed dead in the outbreak.
On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease control said that 18 more people have contracted the disease potentially from tainted steroid injections. An estimated 137 people across ten states are stricken with the fungal meningitis.
Florida governor read the numbers of hotline during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
‘You can call the Department of Health’s toll-free, 24 hour hotline set up in response to this,’ he said, reading off a number, he said. The correct number was later posted on the State’s health department website after a caller informed a local radio station of the mistake.
Meningitis is an infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. Patients show a variety of symptoms including severe headaches and fever. It’s not a contagious disease.
