Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the man suspected of producing the anti-Islamic movie the “Innocence of Muslims” which sparked wide spread violence against US interests in 22 countries across Middle East and Asia has denied that he violated his probation stemming from 2010 bank fraud conviction.

Christina Snyder, the U.S district judge set November 9th as evidentiary hearing. Nakoula who is also known as Mark Basseley Yousuf is an Egyptian born naturalized citizen, was arrested on September 28th from his home in Cerritos, California for probation violations.
Nakoula went into hiding after several radical Muslim preachers offered an award for his capture. He believed to be behind the movie that was posted on You Tube, the video sharing site. The movie sparked widespread violence in which several people were killed and scores wounded.
The prosecutors told the judge despite the violations of his probation he also lied under oath.
He will appear before the judge again on November 9th.
