Nearly 100 dogs found abandoned in Dallas, Fort Worth

Police officers have found nearly 100 dogs abandoned in Dallas, Fort Worth area within the space of 48 hours, a television channel reported.

The Click 2 Houston news reported that the Flower Mound police on Tuesday saying a pack of dogs were running loose near a highway, when the police arrived, 51 Maltese mixed-breed dogs were found in cages. Apparently the cages have not been emptied, cleaned and the dogs have not been bathed or brushed for more than six months.
Just hours after the discovery, police discovered 40 abandoned Charles Spaniels in similar conditions.
Police said they believe someone to avoid licensing requirements would have released the dogs.
The dogs would be healthy enough for adoption in two weeks, it is reported.
