One million dollar tuna fish caught 180 miles off California

To men from California are waiting for confirmation from International Game Fishing association that a 427-pound yellow fin Tuna fish they caught in Mexican waters would win them  $ 1 million prize.

The skipper of 61 foot Viking, Greg DiStefano has told the Orange County Register newspaper that weight was recorded at Cabo San Lucca, Mexico. The current record is 405 pounds and if the record is confirmed his team would win the prize money from Mustad, a company that manufactures fishing hooks and other accessories.
The record breaking fish was caught 180 miles off Baja California.
“The fish pulled 300 yards of line in no time”, Stefano told the newspaper.
It has taken 50 minutes for the crew to land the tuna on board.
