Pakistan politician urges country to stand up against religious extremism

The leader of the liberal party known as Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain called the insurgents “cowards and “beasts’ for attacking the “daughter of the nation”. He said the shooting was an attack of Pakistan’s ideology.
Thousands of people assembled in Pakistan to show support for Malala Yousufzai who was attacked by two Taliban insurgents a few days ago when she was returning home after school.

Hussian also called on the Pakistan people to stand up against Taliban and said that militant’s stance on women’s education was against the teachings of Prophet.
“If you don’t stand up to show that you’re against religious extremism, you will be regarded as sympathizers”, he said.
