Thieves
have stolen a digital camera and memory card with some latest
photographs of the youngest “Dark Knight” shooting victim Veronica Moser
Sullivan from her grandparent’s home on Tuesday
The heartbroken grandfather who spoke publicly for the first time since the shooting told a local television station, the KSDK, “I’ve felt numb all day, I’ve felt sick”.
Robert Sullivan said that he left home around 9.00 am and when he returned 45 minutes later, he noticed a broken window and the camera bag scattered on the floor. The memory card contained pictures of Veronica when she completed her kindergarten.
Sullivan says he fondly remembers taking Veronica for ice-cream as soon as the graduation ceremony was over. “Those were the last photographs my grand daughter before she was killed”, Sullivan said.
Apparently the pictures were to be used on the day of the funeral service for Veronica.
“I had my own tribute that I wanted to put in the funeral service for her,” he said. “I’m not sure what the future holds, but I keep hoping things will get better.”
