Death toll in Karachi garment factory rises to 300, rescue officials say more bodies inside
The
death toll from the Karachi garment factory fire has risen to 300 as
rescue workers recovered more charred bodies on Tuesday night from the
burnt out building. The cause of the massive fire was not known
immediately, but speculations were that fire erupted due to faulty
electrical wiring.
The city administration officials were quoted by newspapers that the final body count would not be available as rescue officers were working to gain access to parts of the factory. The factory made plastic utensils for undergarments.
